Cricket Success for Tarleton Academy Students

Phoebe recently won the Lancashire U14 ‘Junior Player of the Year’ award and was presented with her trophy at Old Trafford last month. Phoebe plays her cricket at Tarleton Cricket Club and was identified as a potential winner earlier in the cricket season. After being observed playing for Tarleton by Lancashire Cricket coaches she was shortlisted along with other players from across the county and invited to attend the prestigious awards ceremony where she was announced as the overall winner!

Phoebe has now been invited for Lancashire trials in January 2020 and if successful will be selected to represent the county. Phoebe is not the only success story from Tarleton Academy as Alice C, in Year 10, who also plays her cricket at Tarleton Cricket Club has been invited for trials from the U14 age group. Tarleton Academy is so proud of both girls and we wish them well in the new year!
