We recently wrote to parents with information on how we are continuing to embed a reading culture at Tarleton Academy. One of these initiatives involves a 'Learning Snapshot' which students will be bringing home to talk to their parents/family about the reading they have been assigned by their subjects.

This week, those currently studying History will be reading about Mussolini or the Civil War. We would like to encourage all parents to take some time out to listen to your child tell you about what they have been reading and feel free to question them using the prompts on their postcard! Can they tell you about fascism and anti-semitism? What do they think was the most important event of the Civil War?

The more our students share their reading experiences, the better readers they become and the greater success they have across the curriculum.
