Junior UK Maths Trust (UKMT) Maths Challenge
26 April 2018
On Thursday, 26th April, thirty Year 7 and Year 8 students took part in the Junior UK Maths Trust (UKMT) Maths Challenge. The UKMT is a registered charity whose aim is to advance the education of children and young people in mathematics. The UKMT organises national mathematics competitions and other mathematical enrichment activities for 11-18 year old UK students and the mathematical challenges aim to stimulate mathematical problem solving.
The Junior Challenge is aimed at students in Year 8 or below and it is the UK's most popular mathematics competition with over 300 000 students taking part each year.
We hope that taking part in the challenge is a stimulating and rewarding experience for our students. These pictures show students getting instructions and preparing to start the challenge.
